Summer Dog fencing

Updated: Nov 6, 2023

The previous blog post showed a huge amount of dog fencing in harsh winter conditions, which made it harder to install (due to the ground being so wet and minus temperatures), lots of snow and mud etc.

We recently installed the same specification fencing (3ft high green mesh panels), in a large property in Letchworth but this time in quite the opposite weather conditions - almost 40 degrees!

The owners had a long run of conifer trees that needed cutting back and fencing to stop their large dog from escaping, as you can see from the before photo below.

We started by cutting back the conifer branches to the tree trunk to approx 6 feet in height, in order to allow us to install the fence panels as close to the tree line as possible. The branches will grow back through the green panels and they will be barely visible. We allow 2/3 feet above the required fence height in order to set the angle irons by digging a hole and then driving them down and once at the required height, concreting them to ensure they are incredibly solid.

We then offer the steel mesh panels up to the posts and attach them using industrial strength cable ties, which hold them tight to the posts and creates a solid barrier to stop dogs or large pets escaping.

The end result is a professional, subtle fence install that compliments the garden and gives the owners peace of mind that the dogs will not escape when they are at home or away.
